FREE PLACES FOR CHILDREN AT SUMMER HOLIDAY SCHEMES IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE

Holiday Activities and Food Programme Parents Poster

Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) has funding for families who receive free school meals for their children, due to the benefits they receive, to have fun with their friends and enjoy new experiences at a local holiday scheme this summer. The Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and is co-ordinated by CCC.

An eligible child will be entitled to up to 64 hours of free holiday childcare through the school summer holiday period. Parents can book places directly with participating holiday schemes, more information can be found at www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/haf

Currently the take up is good but we want to reach out to more families who would find this scheme valuable during the long summer holidays. A meal is also provided as part of the offer and children will have much needed social contact and physical activity.

COVID-19 Business Grants Form LIVE

Dear Business Owner,

We are getting in touch with you to let you know that you can, from today, access more grants to support your business. We have been working hard over past weeks through a number of schemes the Government has created – with the intention of making those complex processes as simple as possible for you. Thank you for patience whilst we did this. The result is that with a simple to use declaration form you will be able to access the funding all at once and you will not have to make multiple applications or supply more supporting paperwork.

As you have previously successfully received funding from the Local Restriction Support Grant (LRSG), the grants listed below can all be accessed simply by filling out the declaration form. This can be accessed by clicking on the ‘apply’ button below. The declaration form should take no longer than five minutes to complete. Once you have submitted the form, and assuming all is ok, then we’ll get on with the job of sending you the grant.

The range of money available to eligible businesses is dependent on the rateable value of your businesses but can range in total across the schemes from just over £6,400 to almost £17,200 (this figure is an example, from all grant schemes combined, based on different rateable values and maximum qualifying periods)

About the form

The form is a declaration that your business has continued to trade since you successfully applied for the Local Restriction Support Grants (LRSG) that covered the period of 5th November to 2nd December 2020. Provided that your business is still eligible, completion of the declaration will enable your business to receive a continuous payment grant.

The payments will be based on your business type, the dates you were trading, and the impact that national and local restrictions had on your businesses, as determined by the Government. The rules the Council follows and the amounts you will receive are specified by the Government.

We appreciate this is a very unsettling time for you and we are prioritising support for businesses. We encourage you to read our website information which is regularly updated.

MyHuntingdonshire portal account

Your previous applications for a business support grant would have been made using your MyHuntingdonshire portal, which you should already have a login and password for. You will need this information to submit this new declaration form.

A step-by-step process on how to check for updates and any correspondence, once you have submitted your declaration form, can be found under the grant specific FAQ’s listed above. More information on current grants is available on our website.
